Sarah Cheong

Associate // Tysons

 

Sarah is an Associate in the Tysons office of BAL. She counsels clients on various employment-based immigration matters and represents them before numerous government agencies including the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Labor, and the Department of State. Sarah has extensive experience with nonimmigrant visas, including E-3s, H-1Bs, H-1B1s, L-1As, L-1Bs, and TNs, and immigrant visas, including EB-1Cs.

Throughout her career, Sarah has gained a broad perspective of immigration having worked in the private, federal, and nonprofit sectors. Prior to joining BAL, Sarah worked at several boutique business immigration law firms. She also interned with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Assistant Chief Counsel, and provided pro bono services to refugees seeking resettlement in the United States. Sarah received the 2014 Minority Bar Association of Western New York Award as a result of her passion and commitment to effectuating changes within the legal system that address the needs of the minority community.
