Ryan is an Associate in the San Francisco office of Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP.  He works on a variety of business immigration projects, specializing in nonimmigrant visa matters including H-1B, L-1, TN, E-3 and O-1 petitions.

Before joining BAL as an Associate, Ryan developed extensive litigation experience, participating in the trial of several cases to multi-million dollar verdicts. He has worked with the ACLU Immigrants’ Rights project on cases involving the civil rights of immigrants living in the United States. His pro bono practice includes work on asylum and refugee cases arising from the flight of minor children from Central America. Ryan has also been published on the topic of providing non-English speakers access to the courts.  Prior to attending law school, Ryan was immersed in immigration law by working as a paralegal to BAL Founding Partner David Berry.
