If I qualify as a business visitor, do I need a visa for Namibia?
European Union, Canadian, US and most other nationalities require a visa to conduct business activities in Namibia. Business visitors who require a visa to enter Namibia must obtain a Business Visa from a Namibian Consulate or Embassy, prior to travel. Some nationals who require a Business Visa to enter Namibia to conduct business activities can obtain it upon arrival in Namibia.

The activities below, whether paid or unpaid, generally constitute work under Namibian law. This list is not comprehensive and many other professional activities are considered work in Namibia, even if conducted for a short duration.

If I am traveling to Namibia for work, what type of work permit do I need?
The type of work permit required depends on your qualifications, whether your employer has an entity in Namibia, and the nature and duration of your work. The most common Namibian work permits are:

Are there any nationals who are exempt from work permit requirements?
There are no nationals who are exempt from the work permit requirement in Namibia.
