If I qualify as a business visitor, do I need a visa for the Cayman Islands?
Many European, Latin American, and Asian nationals as well as US and Canadian nationals do not require a visa to enter the Cayman Islands to conduct business activities. If your nationality is not found on the list of visa-waivered nationals, you must obtain a Visitor Permit from a British Embassy or Consulate prior to travel.

If I am traveling to the Cayman Islands for work, what type of work permit do I need?
The type of work permit required depends on your qualifications, whether your employer has an entity in the Cayman Islands, and the nature and duration of your work. The most common Caymanian work permits are:
- Visitor’s Work Visa (short-term technical activities work visa)
- Temporary Work Permit (short-term work permit)
- Annual Work Permit (long-term work permit)
Are there any nationals who are exempt from work permit requirements?
There are no nationals who are exempt from the work permit requirement in the Cayman Islands.
