Edward is a Partner and manages the Boston office of Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP. His practice focuses on immigration strategies for multinational companies and investors, as well as healthcare provider networks, research facilities, academic institutions, and cross-border manufacturing operations seeking to transfer key personnel to the U.S. With his experience, knowledge and approachability, Edward is called upon frequently to speak on all aspects of immigrant and nonimmigrant visa filing strategies in the U.S. and abroad.

Edward manages complex immigrant and nonimmigrant petitions and related global visa filing strategies for large multinational corporations with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the U.S. Department of State. Edward represents clients in various industries, including construction, energy, retail, and hospitality during U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement I-9 audits and develops comprehensive I-9 compliance policies. Edward coordinates due diligence and related assessments of compliance with immigration law during merger and acquisition activity for companies employing foreign nationals in key technical, managerial, and executive positions. He has represented individual investors seeking to create new companies in the U.S.

Edward has provided timely counsel and representation before U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials to companies with cross-border manufacturing operations and related movement of personnel.

Edward has secured Conrad 30 waivers for J-1 physicians working with hospitals and healthcare provider groups in underserved areas.
