Diem is the GCI Manager in the Houston office of Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP. She focuses on corporate global immigration matters for multinational companies in a variety of industries including energy, procurement, construction, and engineering.
Specifically, she assesses clients’ global migration needs, develops and facilitates short-term and long-term migration strategies, and navigates clients through a range of international immigration systems, including advising on general visa processing, documentation requirements, visa options, risks, and timelines. Among the countries include Brazil, India, China, Angola, Mozambique and the United Kingdom. In addition, Diem manages a team of experienced professionals who are dedicated to global immigration and delivery of exceptional service to our Houston based clients. Through her experience and close working relationship with human resources, managers and employees , she understands the challenges of global mobility and is better able to offer counsel on new immigration policies and procedures as well as best practices.
Diem also has experience in US immigration law with a focus on permanent residency matters, including PERM Labor Certification applications, multinational manager, extraordinary ability and outstanding researcher immigrant petitions. She is conversant in Vietnamese.
