Clifford serves as Senior Counsel in the Walnut Creek office of Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP. Clifford handles all aspects of business immigration, including labor certification PERM applications, immigrant visa petitions, consular processing and adjustment of status applications, reentry permits and naturalization applications. He also manages H-1B petitions, TNs, L-1s, E visas, O visas , P visas and R visas. His practice focuses on counseling small and large multinational corporations on immigration issues arising from corporate reorganizations, mergers, and layoffs; managing PERM recruitment programs; immigrant visa petitions under the extraordinary ability, outstanding researcher, multinational manager and executive, and national interest waiver categories; as well as policy and procedures development. Clifford also represented a client in an En Banc BALCA decision that job advertisements conducted as additional recruitment steps for a PERM labor certification application do not need to meet advertising content requirements for mandatory recruitment steps under 20 CFR §656.17(f).
Clifford has extensive experience practicing US immigration law. Prior to joining BAL, Mr. Chin worked at the Chicago and Santa Clara offices of a large global immigration firm, handling employment-based U.S.immigration matters.
