Arit is an Associate in the San Francisco office of Berry Appleman and Leiden LLP. He provides strategic counsel to clients of all sizes on all aspects of business immigration and works on a wide range of employment-based and family-based matters, including immigrant visa matters (PERM labor certifications, immigrant visa petitions, adjustment of status applications). As a solo practitioner prior to joining BAL, Arit handled various types of immigration cases including, non-immigrant visas, immigrant visas, VAWA, asylum and deportation, bond hearings, citizenship and naturalization and family based petitions. While in law school at Western Michigan, Arit participated in the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court competition. Mr. Butani is also fluent in Hindi.
