The webinar will involve a detailed explanation and presentation on the impact of the recent changes and proposed reforms set for March 2018 in line with the announcements made by the Australian Federal Government on 18 April 2017 and the release of Australia’s Federal Budget on 9 May 2017 including:

  • The future abolishment of the Subclass 457 visa and introduction of a new Temporary Skill Shortage visa in March 2018
  • Changes to the skilled occupation lists and how this may impact eligibility for future skilled visa applications
  • Introduction of a ‘Skilling Australians Fund’ in March 2018 and increases to visa application charges
  • 1 July 2017 changes – What are the further changes that took effect ?
  • Implementation of a new pathway towards permanent residency for New Zealand citizens
  • Impact of future reforms for current foreign nationals workers and how to plan for what lies ahead
