Berry Appleman & Leiden’s Melbourne office is hosting a workshop on the most appropriate Australian visa options for temporary foreign workers. This event follows the successful Sydney workshop held in March. Our workshops provide a platform for those professionals who already have experience in Australian employer-sponsored visas, and who wish to learn advanced skills to apply to their mobility programs.

Book now to attend BAL’s Melbourne workshop: Australia’s Temporary Visa Programmes: Which Visa is Best and Why.

Please join BAL as we deconstruct the advantages and disadvantages of key temporary work visa programmes. We will also assess the possibilities of other visa programme options to explore solutions to complex work scenarios.

At this workshop you will learn:

  • Appropriate use of employer-sponsored temporary visas, including the well-established Subclass 457 programme and the Subclass 400 visa
  • Distinct differences between business visitor visas and other temporary work visa options
  • Which work conditions apply to several key temporary visa subclasses
  • How to decipher Australia’s immigration policy to match the most appropriate visa to your business needs

The presenters will analyse case studies and there will be time for group discussion and questions and answers.

This workshop will also include a brief update on recent reviews that are currently being undertaken into Australia’s Skilled and Temporary Activity Visa programmes and a discussion on application requirements that are on the Department of Immigration’s ‘radar’.

This event is complimentary for HR professionals and in-house mobility teams who coordinate an Australian in-bound immigration program.
