PHILIPPINES - Annual Reports Due by End of February

January 23, 2012 - Permanent residents and foreign nationals who hold a 9(g) Visa are required to register at the Bureau of Immigration within the first 60 days of 2012.  In order to meet this obligation, foreign nationals must present their original passport, either an Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) or ACR Identity Card, and a Certificate of Residence when applicable.  Foreign nationals may also choose to be represented by a liaison officer carrying a notarized Special Power of Attorney.  When a foreign national appears before the board, an annual report fee of PHP 310 (approximately US $7) will be required; PHP 500 (approximately US $12) will be required if the foreign national chooses to be represented by a liaison officer.  Please note that foreign nationals who hold 47(a)(2) Visas and Multiple Entry Special Visas are not required to report.
